I hear from blog buddies on eBay that it's raining and snowing and blowing every where so we are relatively lucky we are dry in Tucson... still.... brrrrr!!
I can't think of any good segway so I'll just dive into introducing Decorative (Printed) tapes.
My mom in Japan sends me care packages every now and then. She seals them with some colorful packing tapes. Every time I see it delivered to my door I immediately knew it was from my mom because of it. My husband noticed that he had never seen such things as printed tapes... so I tried selling a few, and they sold pretty well.
As a seller, I LOVE using these tapes over the normal transparent ones. A piece would add a dash of cheer on a plain manila envelope. I want a mini-"wow" when my customer opens the mail box and finds my package. I have had many compliments on my packages. This became kind of a signature of my store. I can't guarantee but may be... may be because the package stands out that it's harder to get lost during delivery!
The other use would be an easy coordination of things. I used pieces on my plain stationary like binders, pen stands, staplers, and scotch tape dispenser. These individually bought, inexpensive stuff now look like they were bought as a matching set!
If you are crafty, just having one of these may inspire some project ideas. It is great for scrap booking borders, greeting cards etc. A roll of packing tape would do a job for both scotch tapes and stickers!
